Torbutton will provide a toolbar button to easily enable or disable the browser's use of Tor.
Torbutton is meant to be very simple. The interface described above is all that most people will need to know.
By default, Torbutton will choose the settings that are recommended by the Tor developers for your version of Firefox. If your Tor client is not on the localhost or is on a non-standard port, if you want to bypass privoxy, or if you have some other reason to manually configure the proxy settings, then you can do this through the extension's preference window. If you need to manage multiple proxies (if your regular internet connection requires a proxy, for example), you will need to use a more comprehensive proxy solution, such as SwitchProxy
Torbutton does its job by changing the Firefox preferences. It does not change the "No proxy for" preference, so you are free to set this field however you like, through the normal Firefox proxy preferen...
